About TickerBuzz

TickerBuzz is a stock market sentiment aggregation platform that tracks mentions of publicly traded companies across social media, financial forums, video platforms, and search trends.

By consolidating data from Twitter, Reddit, YouTube, StockTwits, and Google Search, TickerBuzz provides retail investors and active traders with a real-time view of which stocks are generating attention and discussion across the internet.

The Problem We Address

Retail investors face information asymmetry. By the time a stock appears in mainstream financial news, institutional investors and algorithms have often already positioned themselves. Social platforms like Reddit's r/wallstreetbets, Twitter's #FinTwit community, and YouTube financial channels surface emerging trends earlier than traditional media.

However, manually tracking sentiment across multiple platforms is time-consuming and impractical. TickerBuzz solves this by centralizing social sentiment signals, allowing users to identify which stocks are gaining or losing attention before the broader market reacts.

How TickerBuzz Works

Data Collection

TickerBuzz uses official APIs and web scraping techniques to continuously monitor stock mentions across five platforms: Twitter/X (real-time posts and retweets), Reddit (focused on investing subreddits like r/wallstreetbets, r/stocks, r/investing), YouTube (video titles, descriptions, and comments from financial channels), StockTwits (dedicated stock discussion platform), and Google Search (trending search volume for ticker symbols and company names).

Sentiment Analysis

Each mention is analyzed using natural language processing (NLP) to classify sentiment as positive, neutral, or negative. Aggregated metrics include total mention count, sentiment ratio (positive vs. negative), engagement metrics (upvotes, likes, views), and velocity (rate of change in mentions over time).

Aggregation & Display

Data is normalized and ranked to surface the stocks with the highest social attention. Users can filter by platform, time range, sentiment, and market cap to focus on stocks that match their investment strategy. TickerBuzz does not provide buy/sell recommendations—it simply surfaces which stocks are being discussed most actively.

Transparency & Limitations

TickerBuzz is not financial advice. The platform provides informational data about social media activity related to stocks. Users are solely responsible for their own investment decisions.

Social sentiment does not predict stock performance. High mention volume may indicate hype, speculation, or misinformation rather than sound investment opportunities. Users should conduct their own due diligence and consult licensed financial advisors.

Data accuracy is not guaranteed. TickerBuzz relies on third-party APIs, web scraping, and NLP models that may contain errors, delays, or biases. Sentiment classifications are algorithmic approximations and may not reflect true market conditions.

Platform is for informational use only. TickerBuzz does not execute trades, provide investment advice, or manage user funds. All investment decisions and risks are the user's responsibility.
